Steven and Vicky Reeve serve in Montrose, Colorado, a rural area west of the Rocky Mountains. The people in this area are mainly farmers, ranchers, and loggers, along with a large retirement community.
After seeing the need in their community to share the gospel without distractions, the Reeves began ministering through Mountaintop Retreat. Steven is the program director and camp caretaker, a role he has tirelessly filled for twenty-one years. “Our goal is to reach boys, girls, men, and women with God’s message of salvation and spiritual growth in a setting that will provide this kind of growth,” Steven explains. “We are in a quiet mountain setting where the distractions of the world are nowhere to be found.”
Mountaintop Retreat is a year-round camp and retreat center that hosts a myriad of youth and family camps, church retreats, and winter retreats during the off season. Dedicated to sharing the gospel, strengthening families, and encouraging growth in faith, Mountaintop provides the opportunity to commune with the Lord in the beauty of His creation. Situated among several state parks and forests, campers can participate in a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking and fishing in the summer and skiing and snowmobiling in the winter.
The Reeves have served as InFaith field staff since 1985.
Both Steven and Vicky went to Bible College in 1980, and Steven became dean of students and Bible teacher at Sunshine Bible Academy in South Dakota in 1984. After joining InFaith, the Reeves served as area missionaries in Bozeman, Montana until 1994, when they moved to Montrose, Colorado to serve at Mountaintop Retreat.
Steven and Vicky have two adult sons, and have recently adopted and are raising their seven-year-old grandson.
