Stephen & Melissa Millermon

Stephen and Melissa Millermon serve in Downey, a rural community of 800 in southeast Idaho. This area of Idaho is sometimes referred to as the SE highlands where the winters seem extra long, and the summers are brief. Downey is located in Marsh Valley, where agriculture is the leading industry. This corner of the state is home to many cattle ranches and farms producing mainly wheat, barley, and hay
The vast majority of residents are culturally tied together through their religion--Mormonism. There are many opportunities to share Christ, as some are finding that religion is not enough; they seek a genuine relationship with God.
After seeing the need in their community, the Millermons began to seek out people with spiritual needs and proclaim the gospel to all who would listen. Their primary focus has been church ministry through Marsh Valley Bible Church, where Stephen is the pastor. Stephen and Melissa joined this church ministry in 2002, serving alongside InFaith missionaries who had planted the church years before.
Some of the ministries that Stephen and Melissa are involved in at Marsh Valley Bible and two other local churches include Vacation Bible Schools, children’s church, AWANA clubs, and youth ministry. They also serve at Old Faithful Christian Ranch as needed.
“We seek to reach out to people in need,” Stephen writes. “Our church is here to be a lighthouse to shine in our local community.”
The Millermons have served as InFaith field staff since 2002.
God led Stephen and Melissa to serve with InFaith after eight years of youth ministry experience in Colorado.
