Rancocas Woods in Mount Laurel is a town in transition. In the past thirty years it has grown by almost 50%, from a small town in rural New Jersey, to a city-edge suburb of Philadelphia. It has a young population—nearly one-fourth is under the age of eighteen. With that growth, connections between neighbors, classmates, and co-workers have become untied. The McKinnon’s neighborhood—their little local patch—is searching for a welcoming place for families, and teens especially, to explore their gifts, their connectedness with God and with each other, and be nurtured in their faith.
Establishing weekly meetings, children's ministry, and community events, the McKinnons present God’s love in a consistent fashion to their neighbors. In our age of modern technology many youth don’t have the opportunity to hear the gospel face-to-face. Matthew and Simone’s desire for each young man and woman is to know the Truth that will set them free. Their youth group is a touchstone where they are welcomed to share the journey of faith with their peers.
The McKinnons have served as InFaith field staff since 2018.
Matthew and Simone are using their experience overseas in Brazil sharing their love for Christ through different children and youth ministries. They were both raised in Christian families and know the importance of discipleship.
