Jim & Teri Wilson

Ministry Snapshot
Jim & Teri Wilson reach their local community of Kearney, Nebraska through children’s ministry at Press On Community Youth Center.
“What we do is love kids. That’s what we’re all about. We’re about relationship building. And because we’ve been doing this so long, we have favor in the community. This started as a dream that not many believed in, but look what God has done now."

Jim and Teri Wilson serve in Kearney, Nebraska, a suburban area with a population of approximately 30,000. Home of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, the area is surrounded by farming communities and claims a low crime rate. Lincoln, the state capitol, is two hours from Kearney.
In this area, the greatest need was a safe and positive place for kids and youth to hang out and have fun, while also being exposed to the message of hope found in the gospel.
After seeing the need for a youth center in their community, the Wilsons started the Press On Community Youth Center in 1999. Press On exists to build godly relationships with youth and their families for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ. The center provides recreational, educational, and spiritual opportunities for personal growth for youth ages eight to nineteen.

The Wilsons have served as InFaith field staff since 1999.
After becoming Christians in 1982, Jim and Teri began volunteering at their local church, and for fifteen years they volunteered at a youth detention center, helping with Bible studies and Prison Fellowship seminars. In 1996, Jim attended a Promise Keeper event in Denver, Colorado, and it was there that God called him into full-time ministry.
Jim and Teri have three grown children.
